The Turkmen consul in Herat met a local representative of the Taliban

The Consul General of Turkmenistan in the city of Herat held a meeting with the head of representation of the Taliban movement for the province Herat, the press-service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan informed.
In the message it is said that during consultations the sides discussed the organizational and other issues connected with the activity of the Consulate General of Turkmenistan in the western zone of Afghanistan.
The diplomatic service notes that interlocutors underlined a historical and cultural commonality of the people of Turkmenistan and Afghanistan that serves a basis for development of good-neighbourhood today and in the long-term prospect.
