Russia to postpone the USE exams

The Unified State Exam (USE) campaign in Russia in 2020 will be rescheduled. It is announced that the exams previously postponed to June 8 could be postponed to a later date. A new exam date is unknown yet. “Such a decision was taken due to the recommendations of the health authorities based on the epidemiological situation in the country and the necessary requirements to protect the health of children and teachers,” the Ministry of Education reports. Meanwhile, the USE exams can be canceled for those who do not plan to enter the universities, and the students’ annual average score can be accepted as the final exam score, RIA Novosti informs. Earlier, Federal Service for Supervision in Education and Science considered the possibility of holding the USE exams in August or September and only for those who are going to apply for the university entrance exams in the future.
