Ashgabat hosted book presentation on the 25th anniversary of neutrality


Presentation of publications dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the country’s permanent neutrality was held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan. The event was attended by employees of ministries and departments, teachers and students of higher educational institutions, as well as representatives of diplomatic missions and international organizations accredited to Turkmenistan.
The books reflect the country’s achievements in all priority sectors of the economy, including oil and gas, industry, construction, agriculture, science, education, banking, finance and other areas.
- The permanent neutrality status of Turkmenistan promoted sustainable development of the country’s economy. Thus, the annual economic growth in Turkmenistan exceeds 6%. Neutrality makes the country attractive for foreign investment, ORIENT was told by Professor Mammetguly Ovlyagulyyev at the Turkmen State Institute of Finance.
Peace and prosperity always reign in a neutral country, where people are completely occupied with work and production. This means that the level of labor productivity among the population is high. As the saying goes, “there will be no development without peace”.
- Policy defines the economy, the expert said. - The basis of the Turkmen economy is the policy of neutrality, good neighborliness and peacefulness. Turkmenistan regularly provides humanitarian aid to neighboring countries during the difficult period for them, showing its commitment to the pursued policy in practice. That is why our country is one of the major UN partners.
