A herbal medicine from СOVID-19 will be presented in Madagascar
In Madagascar, a prophylactic and therapeutic herbal drug developed against a new type of coronavirus (COVID-19) will be presented.
This was announced by President of Madagascar Andri Radzuelina on the national television channel TVM. According to the president, the drug Covid Organics was developed at the Malagasy Institute of Applied Research and successfully passed clinical tests.
Radzuelina also reported that Covid Organics consists of a mixture of many herbs in the country, especially an artemisia plant known as “wormwood”. The head of state noted that serial production of the medicine will be established immediately.
Artemisia, which is mainly used in the treatment of malaria, has long been known in the world of medicine, the president said. According to him, the number of infected with COVID-19 in the country is 83, there are no dead, 39 were cured.
Chinese doctor Tu Yuu received the 2015 Nobel Prize in Medicine for synthesizing the drug artemisinin, which has a strong effect in the treatment of malaria.
