The ambassador has thanked the authorities of Uzbekistan for attention to Turkmen students during the quarantine
The Turkmen ambassador in Tashkent Yazguly Mammedov expressed his gratitude to the Minister of Education of Uzbekistan, the authorities of high schools and the republic government for the conditions created for Turkmen students in hostels during the quarantine, connected with spread of the acute virus infection COVID-19 in Uzbekistan. «For that our students are provided by all necessary conditions and continue their distance education», - head of the diplomatic mission said.
The meeting began at the virtual round table, organised by the embassy of Turkmenistan in Uzbekistan by means of a satellite bridge with the Urgench state university and devoted to the 25th anniversary of Turkmen neutrality.
Employees of the embassy, the administration of the UGU and students from Turkmenistan trained in the given university for different specialities took part in the meeting.
During the speech ambassador Mammedov told about the basic priorities of the state youth policy in Turkmenistan, the goals put before this sphere by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
Participants of the meeting discussed the Turkmen-Uzbek relations, their development in political, trade and economic, transport-communication, cultural-humanitarian areas. The great attention was given to the contribution of Turkmenistan to peace and sustainable development in the region for the past quarter of the century, and also to the international initiatives of the Turkmen leader.
As an example, the resolution on the announcement of 2021 as International year of peace and trust adopted at the proposal of the president of Turkmenistan by the General Assembly of the United Nations.
During the event the ambassador informed its participants on jubilee events, organized by Turkmenistan the major of which will be planned for December, 11-12 in Ashgabat, the high level international conference, devoted to the policy of neutrality and its role in maintenance of international peace, security and sustainable development.
Addressing to Turkmen students, the ambassador urged to observe discipline during the quarantine and all measures assigned for this period, not to visit a place of mass congestion of people, carefully to conform to the rules of hygiene and sanitary.
The rector of Urgench state university Bahrom Abdullaev told that now normal living conditions of Turkmen students are provided directly with the Ministry of Education of the country and university administration. He assured representatives of the Turkmen embassy that any issues Turkmen students may have in connection with the fact that they had to remain in the territory of Uzbekistan, will be solved positively.
