Online training: new possibilities in the Turkmen education system
Concepts of language education and development of the system of digital education are key directions of strategy of transformation in the humanitarian sphere. Its purpose is the training of qualified experts with knowledge of foreign languages for study of advanced foreign experience, professional improvement and access to the latest technological innovations.
Sadykhyan Olga Aramovna, teacher of Russian and literature, director of studies of “Dalchyn” the education centre tells:
- Our education centre has been functioning since 2016. We are the first official representative of Cambridge University in the country, and in our curriculums we use licenced textbooks and multimedia technologies of Cambridge. Besides, we are the first in Turkmenistan to have introduced online lessons which are conducted by teachers from England. Our classes are equipped according to the highest international standards and it helps learners to study live modern languages better.
In the language centre we teach all levels of English language, including IELTS, and also Russian, Turkmen, German and French languages. Besides the language course, we have courses in mathematics, business, fine arts, computer literacy here as well.
- We have autumn, winter, spring and summer courses, each lasts for three months, but this year we have decided to start an additional course «between summer and spring» the enrolment for which will begin on May 11. Our teachers constantly study and raise their qualification. We send our best experts to Great Britain for the further professional perfection. Many of our teachers, who having already undergo training and have improved their knowledge, have got certificates CELTA, and now share their received knowledge with their colleagues, - Olga Aramovna continues.
Every Sunday for learners of “Dalchyn” centre optional lessons on various subjects, culinary for children, quizzes, thematic classes for adults such as “resume writing and business letters “ and others are organized. Excursions to the zoo for children and for adult – excursions to museums are arranged. Recently, an excursion to Nissa has been organized. Optional classes also include theatrical performances, which are always held in source language.
On May 4 in the State Russian Drama Theatre named after A.S.Pushkin we will have the next performance. Two years ago in the Pushkin theatre our learners already performed in front of Ashgabat residents and guests of the capital. This time we decided to date the performance to Day of the Great Victory of May 9. “Dalchyn” education centre invites all those who wish to see the performance.
- We wait for everyone, irrespective of age, because this holiday is common for all generations, but especially it is important for the youth who is just discovering the world for themselves to honour it. And for development and self-improvement it is useful for all to study foreign languages. Learning a language, we learn cultures of people, we are opened and we open, becoming spiritually richer, - Olga Sadykhyan added.
