KOICA funded the expansion of an oil and gas vocational school in Mary


The South Korean International Cooperation Agency has funded the construction of a new building for the oil and gas secondary vocational school in Mary. The school is part of the structure of the state concern "Turkmengaz" and provides primary and secondary vocational education in many engineering and technical specialties that are in demand in the oil and gas industry.
The team of the departmental educational institution, whose history has more than 40 years, was congratulated by the chairman of the state concern Murad Archaev. He noted that Korean companies have become important partners for the Turkmen fuel and energy complex on the path of its modernization and diversification of production, and emphasized the importance of young competent personnel for the future development of the gas chemical industry.
The new school building - the third in a row - is a three-story building with a total area of about three thousand square meters. The project cost amounted to almost 2.6 million dollars.
The main thing here is the equipment of classrooms. Modern equipment and apparatus are designed to master skills in several types of specialization: mechanical engineering technology, construction and operation of industrial equipment, automation of electric power systems, information systems. 240 young people will study in this department. In total, about 1100 students in 18 areas of training are currently studying at the school.
