Press photographers from the CIS countries hold a training in the Russian state news agency of federal level - TASS. The theme «News photojournalism in the modern world» is studied by representatives of news agencies from Turkmenistan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan under the direction of the assistant editor-in-chief, the head of edition of the photo information Grigory Dukora.
Grigory Dukor – a famous photo master and teacher, for 30 years of work he learnt to transfer whole stories to one picture. He has a special inclination to sports because «in him in all time something occurs, all time he in is action».
But also other themes in the focus of Dukora become more voluminous and brighter.
Within four days press photographers from the CIS countries will familiarise with subtleties of shooting of official actions, sports competitions, features of genre photo.
Training is not limited only to lectures, after all the photo is a practice. Together with the teacher participants daily take pictures and process a material on the theme of daily work and assort the successful moments and committed errors.
The program also includes a visit to the photo chronicle of TASS in which photos of regional correspondents of agency are carefully stored.
Since the moment of its origin photojournalism has become a narration of integral part about the world. It drew attention to serious problems, showed at times shocking, but always necessary truth and induced people to operate. Today photojournalism, as well as other genres of mass-media, regenerates, becomes more independent and free.
And photographers should change together with it, remaining true to the most important purpose - to create expressive pictures, capable to tell even that remains off-camera.
