Another Turkmen weightlifter took the bronze medal of the Asian Championship in North Korea


On the final day of the Asian Championship among juniors and young men in Pyongyang, Turkmen weightlifter Atajan Daiyev won the bronze medal in the weight category over 102 kg. The athlete lifted 325 kg in double event total.
The Turkmen athlete took a small silver award in the Clean and Jerk, lifting 182 kg. The first and second places in the weight category over 102 kg were won by representative of the Republic of Korea and the weightlifter of Uzbekistan, respectively.
Earlier, Shageldi Bayramgeldiyev (81 kg), Bektimur Reimov (67 kg) and Rustem Annaberdiyev of the Turkmen national team were awarded bronze medals.
Atadzhan Daiyev is the silver medalist of the Youth World Weightlifting Championship that took place in Las Vegas in March this year. That time, the Turkmen athlete lifted 315 kg in double event total.
