Inspired by nature: ceramics of Gulyara Babayeva and her students

An exhibition of works by Gulyara Babaeva “Nature-inspired ceramics” is opened in the summer gallery of the Academy of Arts of Turkmenistan.
Ceramic items of Gulyara and her students are very organic in the picturesque courtyard of the academy.
Classical amphora and elegant jugs are staying side by side with cheerful animals and fantasy sculptures. Different forms, images, bright colors and ornaments are taking you into visual adventures.
Gulyara Babaeva is in love with Turkmen traditional patterns; her works are rich with national color and ethnic originality. In addition, there is a sense of humor, enthusiasm and naughtiness in her works.
The students of Gulyara Babayeva took the best from their master; their work does not look like imitation on the background of the master's works, but harmoniously complements them, symbolizing the creative continuity.
The Tree of Wishes – an installation in the creation of which anyone could participate – became the most attractive exhibit. On the gilded branches of the Tree, every visitor to the exhibition could hang a ceramic figure, having previously written on it his or her desire or wish to the authors of the exhibition. After the first day of the exhibition, the tree was almost completely covered with admiring reviews and wishes for future.
The exhibition “Nature-inspired ceramics” will last until June 10 and will welcome every visitor who wish to enjoy the talented works.
