Kids Insights: eSports catches up on popularity with football

British research company Kids Insights conducted a new study. After interviewing 5000 Britons who have not yet reached adulthood, the firm found out the following: e-sports is insanely popular. So popular that the only thing cooler is football. According to the statistics provided by the company, every fifth male teenager regularly watches the broadcast of e-sports tournaments. One in five boys and one in ten girls think that soon traditional competitions will not be able to compete with more spectacular e-sports. 79% of respondents participated in e-sports tournaments. The founder of the educational platform for gamers, MMO Coach Anton Boger said that special scholarships for cybersports have already been created in the USA. - What do you imagine when you talk about cyberport? An awkward antisocial eccentric? It is a myth. Yes, harmonious physical and mental development is very important. The players have excellent skills of thinking and working in conditions of multitasking, command captains have developed leadership qualities. They will all easily realize themselves in life. So e-sports is the forge of future managers and entrepreneurs. It is necessary to distinguish between the concepts of "cybersportsman" and "gamer". Gamers are people who play mobile and computer games. Any, not necessarily competitive, even solitaire. 20% of gamers are boys from 10 to 20 years, 7% are girls, 38% and 14% are men and women, respectively, from 25 to 31 years. Cybersport is always a competition, and a computer game is just a shell. The peak of cybersports is at the age of 21 to 25 years, but the preparation period can take years. Therefore, young athletes with "quick reflexes" and high-speed adaptation to the constantly changing game situations are brought up almost from diapers. The older generation is difficult to understand the hobbies of young people, but computer sports provides equal opportunities for all, regardless of age, gender and place of residence. It is enough to look at it without prejudice.
