UIET received $ 600 million for the construction of a mining plant

On Friday, March 16th, President Berdimuhamedov signed a decree on the allocation of a loan of $ 600 million to the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan. The funds will be spent on the construction of the Mining Concentrating Plant for the production of potash fertilizers at the Tubigatan potash deposit in the Lebap velayat. The loan will be provided through public funds through Rysgal Bank for a period of 11 years with 3 percent per annum and a 4-year grace period. Turkmenistan has solid natural resources, including potassium salts, which have ideal properties for making fertilizers. At today's meeting with businessmen, President Berdimuhamedov stressed that businessmen should actively develop new processing industries that will make the most of the natural potential of the Turkmen land. Earlier, ORIENT reported that the UIET concluded a Framework Agreement with the "Chinese Engineering Corporation CAMS" (CAMCE) on partnership in the project for the construction of a potash fertilizer plant in Gourdak. According to preliminary calculations, the enterprise will produce about 3.5 million tons of potash ore and 700,000 tons of potassium chloride per year.
