"Turkmenistan" trade house opened in Mazar-i-Sharif
The "Turkmenistan" trading house was opened in the city of Mazar-i-Sharif in the Afghan province of Balkh. Its creation was preceded by the great work carried out by the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan with the support of the government of our country and in cooperation with the authorities of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.
The solemn opening of the Trade House took place on August 28th, with participation of heads of the local administration and neighboring provinces, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other government bodies, institutions, business circles and public associations of the IRA, as well as foreign diplomats - consuls of the Russian Federation, India, Turkey, Iran, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan.
The event caused great attention to the Afghan media. Reports on the opening of the Turkmen Trade House were given by the National Television of Afghanistan and private television channels in the province of Balkh - "Arzuv" and "Aina".
Orient correspondent clarified in the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan that a variety of textile products are offered to customers at a new trading floor in Mazar-i-Sharif, representing a wide range of items produced in our country, including Turkmen national clothes (given the Turkmen diaspora of the northern regions of the IRA). The two floors of the store have a large selection of products of the new branch of the Turkmen economy - electronic industry, a variety of textiles, food products, confectionery, juices and beverages, etc.
A festive dinner was given in honor of the opening of the Trade House, and all the participants of the ceremony were presented with gifts.
In addition, within the framework of the visit of the Turkmen delegation of businessmen to the office of the Afghan company Kefayat Group, which was a party to the project of creating a joint trade enterprise, a meeting with businessmen of Balkh took place. At this meeting, Afghan businessmen emphasized the special role of the Turkmen leader President Berdimuhamedov in developing fruitful relations between our two countries and building a railway to the city of Akina, which is part of the currently constructed Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Tajikistan railroad and which, in turn, will become an important part of the East-West transport corridor.
New opportunities for expanding trade relations between representatives of the private sector of the parties were also discussed. Afghan businessmen expressed interest in holding a joint exhibition of products of entrepreneurs of the two countries in Ashgabat or in Mazar-i-Sharif.
The sides also agreed that the Afghan-Turkmen Trade House would become a bridge of partnership and a conduit for new joint projects, establishing commercial contacts in promising areas.
The Turkmen delegation also held a meeting with the head of the province of Balkh, who highly appreciated the policy of the Turkmen leader on fraternal support of the Afghan people and active assistance in the restoration of the Afghan economy.
