Double Bronze of Turkmen team at Agadir Grand Prix 2018 Judo Tournament

Turkmen judo wrestlers Gulbadam Babamuratova and Batyr Hojamuhammedov won two bronze medals of Agadir Grand Prix 2018 Judo Tournament, which was held in Morocco on March 9-11. Participation in this international competition lead to Gulbadam ranks the 50th in the judoka world ranking in the up to 52 kg weight category. In total, the sportswoman scored 610 points and closed the gap in the rankings for 26 lines. Batyr, having “taken” 47 lines up, with 538 points ranks the 52nd in the world ranking list position in the up to 100 kg weight category. This is the first Grand Prix of Batyr Hojamuhammedov, where he managed to win a medal. Previously, he won a silver medal of the Junior Asian Championships 2015 in Bangkok and took seventh place at the Asian Championships Seniors 2017. Gulbadam became a prizewinner of the Grand Prix series several times in her sports career. For example, 1st place in Turkish Samsun in 2016 and in Tashkent in 2015, 3rd place in the tournament in Düsseldorf in 2016, the Grand Prix silver medal in Qingdao in 2015. In addition, the Turkmen judoka was the fifth at the Grand Prix in Tbilisi in 2016 and the seventh in Jeju and Zagreb in 2015. Her rewards can be listed down. There is no doubt that the talented and experienced sportswoman will win more medals for Turkmenistan in future as well.
