Deposits of the population in Turkmen banks increased by 2.4 times in a year
According to the State Committee of Statistics of Turkmenistan, the population's deposits in the country's financial establishments on the 1st July of this year amounted to 1 billion 642.6 million manats, with an increase of 2.4 times over the same period last year. Moreover, demand deposits grew by 171%, and fixed term deposits - by 36.8%. As a result, the total growth was over 142%. Specialists attribute this tendency to the increase of incomes of the population and the expansion of the banking services market. This is also an indicator that people began to trust banks more, preferring to keep their savings on bank accounts, rather than in safes and "under the carpet," which was promoted by the development of a card payment system and non-cash payments in the country. A significant increase in the volume of deposits is also due to the fact that credit establishments, in order to meet their clients, offer them a new variety of types of deposits, loans, such services as Internet and mobile banking. And in the competitive environment of banks that are interested in attracting more customers, the role of their awareness and quality of service is growing. There is one more factor that contributes to the increase in the volume of deposits - an improvement of the financial literacy and monetary culture of citizens who understand that money must "work." By the way, you can easily calculate the income from the proposed contribution yourself with the help of an online calculator on the website of any bank.
