Turkmenistan and Tatarstan expand cooperation in pharmaceutics

Turkmenistan and Tatarstan, Russian Federation, intend to expand cooperation in the field of medical industry and pharmaceutics. Tachmyrat Siliev, the Deputy Minister of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan on organization of medical and preventive care, proposed it at the session of the Joint Turkmen – Tatarstan working group on cooperation. In particular, to organize mutual visits of medical specialists and pharmacists for the exchange of experience, as well as to exchange information on the development of the health system between countries were suggested.Eziz OWEZOV
The government actively supports pharmaceutics in Turkmenistan. In 2015, the state program to increase the export of Turkmen medicines, designed to boost production capacity and intensify scientific research in this area at the expense of the state budget was adopted in the country.
In this regard, it was noted that there are prospects for establishing supplies of Turkmen medical products to Tatarstan.
In 2017, the retail turnover of the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan increased by 8.6 percent compared to 2016. At the same time, revenues from sales of pharmaceutical products increased by 11.6 percent. Specialists of the State Statistics Committee associate this with the increase in production, the improvement of quality and the growth of sales of domestic medicines.
