Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Turkic States Precedes the OTS Heads of State Summit in Ankara

On October 29, a meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) took place in Ankara, serving as a prelude to the 13th Summit of the organization’s Heads of State. Turkmenistan, which holds observer status within the OTS, was represented at the meeting by Mekan Ishangulyev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Turkey.
The foreign ministers and representatives of observer states discussed key areas for the further development of multilateral partnership and exchanged views on pressing international and regional issues. Particular emphasis was placed on deepening political dialogue, expanding trade and economic cooperation, and developing transport and logistics corridors across the OTS region.

Following the meeting, the ministers adopted a package of decisions aimed at streamlining the operations of the organization’s institutions and approved draft final documents to be presented to the leaders of the member states for consideration.
The 13th Summit of the Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States will be held on October 30 in Ankara under the theme "Turkic Century: Unity in Language, Thought, and Action." It is expected that the summit will culminate in the signing of the Ankara Declaration and the adoption of several agreements designed to strengthen the institutional framework and deepen integration processes.
