Delegation from the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan Participates in CAREC Economic Forum in Changsha

A delegation from the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan is participating in the Fair for the Promotion of Regional Economic and Trade Cooperation in Central Asia, held from October 17 to 19 in the Chinese city of Changsha. This large-scale forum was organized by the People’s Government of Hunan Province in collaboration with the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) Institute, the Administration of the Pilot Free Trade Zone, and the Hunan Association of Chambers of Commerce.
The primary objective of the event was to establish direct cooperative ties between major Chinese industrial enterprises and government bodies and businesses from Central Asian nations, focusing on strategic sectors such as energy, transport infrastructure, innovation, and engineering construction. During the sessions, the Turkmen delegation delivered a comprehensive presentation on the key areas that make Turkmenistan’s economy attractive to investors, as well as the current dynamics and future prospects for multilateral partnerships with the People’s Republic of China and neighboring countries in the region.
The practical component of the visit included tours of production facilities belonging to leading Chinese corporations. Turkmen specialists gained an in-depth look at the technological processes, assembly standards, and maintenance procedures for heavy engineering and construction machinery at the sites of global industry leaders—Sany Group and China Railway Construction Heavy Industry Corporation Limited (CRCHI)—and discussed logistics and the export of specialized equipment for infrastructure projects.
