Ashgabat to Host Scientific Conference Marking the 33rd Anniversary of the Introduction of the National Manat
"The National Manat – A Foundation for Rapid Development in a New Historical Era" is the title of a conference marking the 33rd anniversary of the introduction of the national currency. The proposal to hold this forum was presented by Deputy Prime Minister Hojamyrat Geldymyradov during a government meeting on Saturday.
Over the course of more than three decades, the Turkmen manat has become a fundamental symbol of the country's economic independence and the stability of its financial system. The upcoming forum will bring together leaders from the banking sector, economists, and academic experts to discuss the refinement of monetary policy, the digitalization of non-cash payments, and the strengthening of national banking capital.
The scientific-practical conference will feature presentations by prominent scholars and specialists, focusing on the implementation of large-scale reforms initiated by the President of Turkmenistan within the socio-economic and banking spheres. The forum’s agenda also covers a wide range of topics related to deepening cooperation with international financial institutions.
