Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Shavkat Mirziyoyev Hold Telephone Conversation

On October 12, a telephone conversation took place between the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The Head of Uzbekistan commended the high level of organization and the fruitful outcomes of the major international forums held in the "Avaza" National Tourist Zone—namely, the CIS Summit, the Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia and Azerbaijan, and the Caspian Ecological Forum. It was emphasized that Turkmenistan’s successful chairmanship and the decisions adopted in Avaza have significantly strengthened the country's status as a key facilitator of regional dialogue and opened up promising new horizons for ensuring stability and sustainable development across Central Asia.
The significance of signing the Treaty on the Establishment of the Supreme Council for Strategic Partnership between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan was highlighted. The launch of this high-level coordination mechanism will provide a systemic impetus for advancing flagship projects, increasing mutual freight turnover, expanding industrial cooperation, and strengthening energy, transport, and agricultural connectivity between the two states.
During the conversation, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed his gratitude to President Shavkat Mirziyoyev for his immense personal contribution to strengthening the bonds of friendship and good-neighborliness. The interlocutors noted that the trusting and open dialogue at the highest state level, as well as the regular meetings between President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the Uzbek leader, serve as a reliable guarantee for the positive development of the Turkmen-Uzbek dialogue in both bilateral and multilateral formats.
The leaders of the two countries also coordinated their schedules regarding upcoming joint events and high-level meetings, reaffirming their unwavering commitment to deepening cultural-humanitarian and economic cooperation.
