MSU and the D. Azadi Institute of World Languages Launch Academic Exchange and Internship Programs

Joint professional development programs for educators, student and postgraduate exchanges, and the in-depth study of the Turkmen and Russian languages are becoming key areas of focus for a new phase of academic cooperation between the Dovletmammed Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages (TNIWL) and Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU). A memorandum of cooperation between these leading universities from both countries was signed in Ashgabat.
The document, signed by TNIWL Rector Maksat Charyev and MSU Vice-Rector Ivan Aleshkovsky, opens up extensive opportunities for joint scientific research and the professional development of faculty members. In particular, plans are in place to organize specialized Russian language courses at MSU for Turkmen specialists, as well as regular internships for young researchers.
In turn, the partnership will enrich the scientific and educational foundation of this leading Russian university. As MSU leadership emphasized, the Institute of Asian and African Countries already offers instruction in Turkic languages—including Turkmen—and the new agreement will enable Russian students and philologists to gain practical language experience in a native-speaking environment at universities in Turkmenistan.
The signing of the memorandum on the sidelines of a major international forum in Ashgabat underscores the shared commitment of both nations to establishing a unified humanitarian, scientific, and educational space, in which direct ties between higher education institutions play a pivotal role.
