Microsoft Edge 155 Update: Improved Tab Organization and Enhanced Security

On October 8, Microsoft released a new update for its popular Microsoft Edge browser, version 155, for Windows, macOS and Linux. The developers’ transition to a faster, two-week release cycle makes it possible to deliver security patches and useful improvements more promptly.
Key changes in version 155:
• Convenient tab organization: The browser has expanded its features for grouping pages, customizing workspaces and adding visual labels, helping users stay organized when working with a large number of open tabs.
• Enhanced security: The latest build includes up-to-date fixes for vulnerabilities in the Chromium project, as well as browser-specific security patches.
• Transition to OneAuth: The account authentication system is gradually being upgraded to the modern OneAuth version, making sign-in more stable and secure.
• Codebase optimization and cleanup: The developers have disabled the outdated unload event for web pages and discontinued support for the real-time video translation feature in order to improve the browser’s performance.
The update is already being rolled out and is installed automatically in the background for all users of the stable channel.
