National Leader of the Turkmen People Attends Opening of New Archman Sanatorium Complex

On October 9, the National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, participated in the grand opening ceremony of a new additional complex of buildings at the Archman Sanatorium medical center in the Bakherden District of Akhal Province.
The event, timed to the Day of Healthcare and Medical Industry Workers, served as further evidence that human health and well-being are an absolute priority in the state policy of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
Speaking at the ceremony, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized that over the years of implementing the "Health" State Program—the 30th anniversary of which is being celebrated in the country—the national healthcare model has embarked on an innovative path of development. Medical and health resort facilities meeting international standards and equipped with state-of-the-art technology are being constructed in the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag, as well as in all provinces.
The new four-story medical building at the Archman Sanatorium, designed to accommodate 400 patients, is a multidisciplinary complex where unique natural factors harmonize with advanced medical technologies. The hydrotherapy facility can treat up to 100 patients simultaneously, offering a wide range of wellness procedures that utilize the site's legendary mineral water—rich in hydrogen sulfide and trace elements.
While touring the new facility, the National Leader of the Turkmen people closely inspected modern diagnostic and physiotherapy equipment from leading global manufacturers. Notable installations include an innovative Russian-made "Cardiovisor" for 3D modeling of heart function, high-precision endoscopic systems from the Japanese company Fujifilm, and specialized American acid-gastrometry systems.
The health resort’s infrastructure features comfortable guest rooms, a herbal bar serving the medicinal blends and infusions described in Hero-Arkadag’s multi-volume scientific work Medicinal Plants of Turkmenistan, and a spacious 400-seat restaurant offering personalized dietary menus.
During the ceremony, the Archman Sanatorium was presented with prestigious international certificates. Executives and representatives from prominent foreign organizations and companies—including Ralf Paul Lugbauer (CEO of ASKIN & CO GmbH and Med-Lab-GmbH), Müfit Zeki Karagülle (founder and president of the H2S in Balneology Global Initiative), Bayrte Berman (Regional Director of BTL Industries Limited), and Kurt von Storch (President of the German Academy of Balneology and Climatology)—handed over the relevant documents and credentials to the health resort. The sanatorium was officially designated as a cooperation center, confirming that its facilities meet the highest global standards in balneology and rehabilitation.
To conclude the event, the National Leader of the Turkmen People, on behalf of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, presented the keys to new vehicles to the health resort’s staff.
