"C6" Foreign Ministers Agree on Cooperation Agenda Between Central Asia and Azerbaijan

A meeting of the foreign ministers of the Central Asian states and the Republic of Azerbaijan took place in the "Avaza" National Tourist Zone. This meeting of foreign policy chiefs served as a key preparatory step for the eighth Consultative Meeting of Heads of State, scheduled for October 8 in the city of Turkmenbashi.
During the meeting, the foreign ministers examined in detail the current state and future prospects of interstate dialogue. Reaffirming their commitment to deepening political ties, the diplomats discussed expanding multifaceted cooperation in areas such as trade, industrial collaboration, transport, logistics, energy, and digital technologies. Special attention was paid to fostering cultural and humanitarian exchanges and coordinating approaches to key regional and international agenda items.
In their remarks, the participants highlighted the dynamic development of this dialogue platform. It was noted that since the inaugural summit in 2018, the political will of the leaders has elevated the partnership between these fraternal nations to a qualitatively new level, fostering deep integration in economic and infrastructure sectors.
The talks highlighted the strategic role of the "Middle Corridor" and joint projects involving the transmission of green energy, as well as the need for systematic cooperation in addressing climate issues, water resource management, and the preservation of the Caspian Sea. Following the ministerial negotiations, the parties reached full agreement on the draft agenda and outcome documents for the upcoming summit of heads of state.
