Zelensky hopes for trilateral Ukraine-U.S.-Russia talks in October
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said he hopes the United States can help facilitate trilateral talks between Ukraine, the United States and Russia in October.
He said the Ukrainian side is ready for such a format and is awaiting further steps from Washington and Moscow. Ukraine’s presidential office has also confirmed preparations for possible technical-level trilateral meeting formats.
Zelensky earlier said the United States was maintaining separate communication channels with both Kyiv and Moscow and had proposed holding technical-level trilateral consultations before the end of the month.
Ukraine has expressed support for the proposal and, according to Zelensky, is awaiting Russia’s response once the initiative is formally presented by the United States.
According to CCTV+, Kyiv is seeking progress toward a trilateral format facilitated by Washington and says it is ready for technical-level talks.
