Turkmen Students Win 8 Awards at the International Financial Security Olympiad


Students from Turkmenistan made an impressive showing at the final stage of the 6th International Financial Security Olympiad, held in Krasnoyarsk from September 27 to October 2. A team of ten students from Turkmenistan’s higher education institutions won two first places and six prize diplomas, competing against nearly 700 finalists from more than 40 countries. This was reported by the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan.
The final stage of the large-scale intellectual competition was held at Siberian Federal University. This year, the main themes of the Olympiad were the use of artificial intelligence in the financial sector and methods of preventing cyber risks associated with it.
Representatives of Turkmenistan demonstrated a high level of preparation in the key areas:
• Law: The winners of the Olympiad were Rejep Rejepov of Magtymguly Turkmen State University and Guljahan Gurbanova of the International University for the Humanities and Development.
• International Relations: Prize-winning places were secured by Davut Abdykadyrov of Magtymguly Turkmen State University and Sahydovlet Hummetjumaev of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
• Economics: The prize winners included Shukur Esedov of the International horse breeding academy named after Aba Annayev, Davut Gezerov of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, and Hanmuhammet Tuvakov of the Turkmen State Institute of Economics and Management. Bahar Bekieva of the Turkmen State Institute of Economics and Management also achieved a strong result.
• Information Security: Begnazar Begnazarov of the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction won a prize. Jumageldi Serdarov of the Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics of Turkmenistan also confidently advanced to the final in this field.
The success of Turkmen youth confirms the effectiveness of the state policy aimed at developing the digital economy, strengthening cybersecurity and training qualified professionals. In addition to the competitions, the students took part in international educational sessions, strengthening friendly and professional ties with their peers from different parts of the world.
