Turkmen National Institute of World Languages Receives Commendation from Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs


Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced the list of recipients of the Foreign Minister’s Commendations for 2026. In recognition of its significant contribution to the development of Japanese-language education, the Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages has received this prestigious distinction.
The Commendation from Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs is awarded to individuals and organizations around the world for outstanding contributions to strengthening international relations and promoting friendly relations with Japan. This year, 159 individuals and 67 organizations from various countries received the prestigious award.
The presentation of the commendation to the Turkmen institute recognizes its strong achievements in training Japanese-speaking specialists, as well as its role in expanding cultural and humanitarian dialogue and mutual understanding between the peoples of Turkmenistan and Japan.
