Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Held Meetings with the Head of Tatarstan and Heads of Turkish Companies


National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, held a series of meetings in the capital with high-ranking foreign guests who had arrived to participate in the celebrations marking the 35th anniversary of the country's independence.
During a meeting with the Head of the Republic of Tatarstan (Russian Federation), Rustam Minnikhanov, the exceptionally high level of inter-regional and interstate dialogue was highlighted. The guest warmly congratulated Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the anniversary of the nation's sovereignty and conveyed heartfelt greetings and best wishes from President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, and Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, Mikhail Mishustin.
After expressing gratitude for the congratulations, the National Leader of the Turkmen people conveyed his own warm wishes to Russia’s top leadership. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that Rustam Minnikhanov’s participation in the celebratory events serves as clear evidence of the enduring friendship and constructive nature of the relationship between Turkmenistan and Tatarstan—a relationship that is developing dynamically within the framework of the multifaceted strategic partnership with the Russian Federation. During the conversation, special emphasis was placed on the productive outcome of the talks held during the Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty’s visit to Kazan this past May, as well as the significant contribution made by the joint working group on economic, scientific-technical, and cultural cooperation.
Strategic aspects of Turkmen-Turkish cooperation and the involvement of Turkish capital in the country’s industrialization were the key topics of meetings between Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the heads of leading Turkish industrial holdings.
During a meeting with the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Ahmet Çalyk, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Çalyk Holding, expressed sincere admiration for Turkmenistan’s impressive achievements, emphasizing that the festive celebrations would be inscribed in golden letters in the country’s modern history. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov highlighted that, since the early years of independence, relations of trust between the two fraternal states have consistently developed in the energy, textile, and construction sectors.
In a conversation with Erman Ilıcak, Chairman of the Board of the Turkish company Rönesans Holding, it was noted that the long-standing and productive partnership with major Turkish holdings serves as a solid foundation for further expanding economic cooperation and launching new infrastructure initiatives.
