Turkmen Teachers Will Pursue Training and Research in Japan
Teachers from Oguz Han Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan have been sent to Japan to pursue master’s studies and conduct scientific research. Their training and research programme at the University of Tsukuba will run from September 2026 to March 2029.
The visit is being organized within the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) programme “Global Leader of SDGs.” The study visit is based on the Memorandum of Understanding on joint research in the field of hydrogen energy, signed by the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan and the University of Tsukuba in April 2025.
The programme is being attended by Vepa Abdysetdarov, a lecturer at the Department of Cyber-Physical Systems, and Mergen Nunnakov, a lecturer at the Department of Chemical Technologies. Over the course of two and a half years, the young researchers will study hydrogen energy technologies and sustainable development methods.
Training specialists at a leading Japanese university will enable Turkmenistan to apply advanced international experience to the development of high technologies and clean energy in the country.
