Luxembourg becomes first in Europe to receive direct cargo flight from Zhejiang

The opening of a direct air link between Zhejiang and Luxembourg symbolises the growing openness of the Chinese economy and its readiness for closer cooperation with Europe.
The cargo plane departed from Nanhu International Airport in Jiaxing. The flight, loaded with cross-border e-commerce goods, electronic products and household items, marked the official opening of the Jiaxing-Luxembourg international route — the first direct cargo air link between Zhejiang and a European country.
Jiaxing Nanhu Airport, the first specialised cargo hub in the Yangtze River Delta — one of China's most economically developed regions — is now directly connected to a major European logistics centre, providing foreign trade companies with faster and more convenient global logistics opportunities.
As reported by CCTV+, the launch of the direct Jiaxing–Luxembourg cargo flight marked an important step in expanding Zhejiang's international logistics network. The new route will not only speed up cargo delivery but also strengthen trade and economic ties between China and Europe.
