Ashgabat Hosts C5+1 Regional Seminar on AI and Cybersecurity
A two-day regional seminar titled "C5+1: Trusted Artificial Intelligence and Digitalization" took place in the Turkmen capital, bringing together representatives from government agencies across Central Asia and the United States, specialized international companies, and leading high-tech experts. The event was organized with the support of the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP), a key partner in the legal and technical modernization of the digital landscape.
The central theme of this expert forum was the development of secure and resilient information and communication infrastructure. Participants examined in detail the protection of critical information systems, radio-frequency spectrum management, the development of satellite communications, and standards for the design and operation of modern data centers.
Special emphasis during the sessions was placed on formulating shared approaches to the adoption of artificial intelligence technologies and ensuring comprehensive cybersecurity. Delegates exchanged practical experience regarding digital market regulation, discussed international financing mechanisms for technology projects, and outlined priority areas for long-term regional cooperation within the C5+1 framework.
