Exhibition of Turkmenistan’s Economic Achievements Has Been Opened in Ashgabat on the 35th Anniversary of Independence


Today, September 17, an exhibition showcasing the country’s economic achievements, dedicated to the 35th anniversary of Independence, has been opened at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan. The event was attended by the Chairperson of the Mejlis, members of the Government, heads of ministries, agencies and law enforcement bodies, as well as representatives of the diplomatic corps and the media.

The exhibition presents the results of the country’s development during the years of independence. The exhibition venue features achievements from all major sectors and agencies of the country:
• Financial and banking sector and economy: Exhibitions of the Ministry of Finance and Economy, the Central Bank and commercial banks, the State Insurance Organization, and the “Türkmenstandartlary” service.
• Fuel and energy sector: Advanced developments and projects of the state concerns “Türkmengaz” and “Türkmennebit”, as well as the “Türkmengeologiýa” corporation.
• Construction and heavy industry: Stands of the Ministry of Construction and Architecture, the Ministry of Industry and Construction Production, the Ministry of Energy, the “Türkmenhimiýa” concern, and the Ministry of Automobile Roads.

• Transport and communications: Stands of the ministries responsible for railway and road transport, the Ministry of Communications, as well as the state services “Türkmenhowaýollary” and Maritime and River Transport.
• Agro-industrial sector: New products and developments from the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Environmental Protection, the State Committee for Water Management, as well as the concerns “Türkmenpagta”, “Türkmengallaönümleri” and “Türkmenobahyzmat”, food industry, livestock and poultry associations, and the “Türkmen atlary” association.

• Trade and private business: Products of the Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations, the Ministry of Textile Industry, the “Türkmenhaly” association, the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange, as well as large exhibition stands of members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan.

• Social sector and regions: Achievements of the ministries of education, healthcare and culture, the Academy of Sciences, the State Committee for Physical Culture and Sports, as well as joint stands of the administrations of Ashgabat, the city of Arkadag, and all five regions.
As part of the three-day programme, presentations of new investment projects, domestically produced goods, and digital services are being held at a special presentation area in the exhibition hall.
The exhibition will remain open until September 19 and will conclude with the announcement of the results and the presentation of diplomas to participants. The exposition provides visitors and specialists with a comprehensive overview of Turkmenistan’s economic potential and serves as a convenient platform for business cooperation.
