At 03:27, someone ordered a circuit breaker.

At 01:01 — a calculator.

At 01:16 — frozen raspberries.

And close to 23:00 — candy.

At first glance, a logical question comes to mind: who handles procurement at such a time? The answer turned out to be more interesting than the orders themselves.

The order for a calculator came from India. The order for frozen raspberries — from the USA. But a CHINT 25 A circuit breaker and candy were ordered locally, in Turkmenistan, at 03:27 at night.

These few orders show one simple thing: online product search does not end with the workday. A buyer can search for a product and place an order whenever the need arises. And a seller does not have to sit by the phone until three in the morning: the request will already be waiting by the start of the workday.

1. The workday ends. Business needs don’t end

If at 22:30 it turns out that cable, cartridges, or equipment will be needed tomorrow, the need itself does not care what time it is. In the past, the search often started in the morning: calls, familiar suppliers, checking prices and availability. Now part of this work can begin immediately.

ALSAT lists more than 31,000 active product listings from 126 sellers, so buyers can search among many offers and place an order at any time.

ALSAT does not ask sellers to work at night. It simply does not make buyers wait until morning.

2. Businesses don’t buy trends. Businesses buy solutions

In e-commerce, it is common to showcase smartphones, gadgets, and everything that looks good on a banner.

Businesses have a different wish list: for everything to keep working tomorrow.

By the number of different items sold on ALSAT, the leaders are: 38 — school supplies and stationery, 25 — household appliances, 11 — household goods.

By sales value, electronics leads. And the standout product turned out not to be a new smartphone.

Banknote acceptors — sales totaling 114 900 TMT.

In business, a good product is not the one that collects likes. It is the one that solves a problem.

3. 30 items on the list? Don’t open 30 tabs

A typical online purchase looks simple: found → chose → bought.

But a procurement specialist often comes not for one product, but with a list: “Here is a list of 30 items. Where can I find all of this?”

For this, ALSAT offers RFQ - Request for Quotation, a request for a price quotation. Through RFQ, 839 requests with 11,895 product items have already been processed.

For 8,367 items the system found matches: 5,651 exact and 2,716 alternatives.

Instead of searching for each item separately, the buyer can send the entire list.

4. Real value appears when the buyer comes back

The first order may be an experiment.

A repeat order is already a sign of trust and a habit.

One ALSAT user placed 37 orders. Another placed 11 orders in one day. Some returned after a day or two, while others came back after several months.

For businesses, this is especially important. Procurement is rarely the last one: consumables run out, a new tool is needed, prices change, and a new project appears.

That is why a good procurement platform should not solve just one task, but become a place where it is convenient to return for the next one.

5. A product must be found, not merely exist

A product that no one can find sells about as well as a secret. It may be sitting in a warehouse, have a good price, and be exactly what someone needs right now. There is just one problem: the buyer does not know about it.

That is why the path to purchase is changing for businesses. It may begin not with a call to a familiar supplier, but with a search for a specific product online, on the ALSAT page, or through RFQ.

During the period analyzed, ALSAT was visited by nearly 60,000 users, while the number of registered users exceeded 6,000.

For a seller this means the opportunity to be found beyond their usual circle of contacts.

For a buyer — the opportunity to see more suppliers and offers than those whose phone numbers are already saved in their contacts.

When technology becomes a habit

With any technology, there comes a moment when we stop noticing the technology itself. We do not think about the fact that we are sending a message through a phone. We simply write.

The same is gradually happening with procurement.

Someone searches for a needed part at night. Someone sends an Excel file through RFQ. Someone places a first order. Someone else has already placed their thirty-seventh.

And that is more interesting than any impressive words about digitalization. Online procurement is gradually becoming simply procurement.

Buying for business? Find a product or send your list through RFQ.

Selling? List your products so you can be found not only by those who already have your phone number.
