State Visit of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to the Republic of Korea Begins


On September 14, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov departed for a state visit to the Republic of Korea. During the visit, the Head of State will also participate in the inaugural "Central Asia – Republic of Korea" summit of heads of state.
At the international airport in Seoul, which was adorned with the national flags of both countries, the Head of Turkmenistan was warmly welcomed by officials from the Republic of Korea and members of the Turkmen delegation.
At present, the dialogue between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Korea demonstrates steady development momentum and is built upon the principles of a long-term strategic partnership. The solid foundation for interstate relations, established by National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, is being successfully strengthened today through regular high-level contacts.
This state visit by the Head of Turkmenistan is intended to open a new chapter in the history of multifaceted cooperation between Ashgabat and Seoul, providing a powerful impetus for the implementation of large-scale joint economic and cultural-humanitarian projects, as well as deepening interaction within the framework of the "Central Asia – Republic of Korea" dialogue.
