Nvidia tops TIME’s ranking of the world’s best companies, Apple takes third place
TIME magazine has published its updated annual ranking of the world’s best companies. The list is headed by chip developer Nvidia with a score of 97.51 out of 100. Apple has managed to return to the top 10, taking the third spot with a rating of 93.16 points.
When compiling the list, experts evaluated corporations based on three key criteria: employee satisfaction levels, three-year revenue growth dynamics, and environmental sustainability performance.
Success factors and the positions of leaders
Apple’s return to the top three was driven by a high rate of revenue growth — in the summer, the company recorded a 10% year-on-year increase in revenue. However, in terms of environmental sustainability, the tech giant dropped to 24th place, and in terms of employee comfort, it lagged behind Microsoft and IBM.
Nvidia’s leadership and chipmaker AMD’s entry into the top ten are driven by the global artificial intelligence boom, which has spurred demand for their computing power.
Positions of other giants
Other companies entering the upper part of the list include Meta (4th place), Microsoft (6th place), and Deutsche Telekom (7th place). Other major tech brands are positioned lower: Lenovo took 51st place, Dell — 114th, Samsung — 153rd, and TSMC — 182nd.
