President of Turkmenistan Signs Resolution on Modernizing the Country’s Cement Plants


President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov has signed a resolution aimed at ensuring the uninterrupted and efficient operation of the country’s major cement enterprises: the Bäherden, Balkan, and Lebap plants.
The document, presented by Deputy Prime Minister Baymyrat Annamammedov at a government meeting on Friday, seeks to utilize production capacities to the fullest extent in order to supply the construction industry and the population with high-quality domestic building materials. The project entails strengthening the material and technical infrastructure of the cement plants under the Ministry of Industry and Construction Production, as well as expanding technological partnerships with leading foreign companies.
Furthermore, as part of the modernization of the light industry, the Head of State approved a proposal to re-equip the Bäherden Garment Factory with new technology.
