President of Turkmenistan and New French Ambassador Note Positive Dialogue Momentum

The development of bilateral cooperation, the strengthening of private-sector ties, and the implementation of joint projects in the energy and infrastructure sectors were the key topics of the meeting between President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic, Alena Grand, who presented her credentials during the audience.
The Ambassador conveyed greetings from President Emmanuel Macron to the Head of State and the National Leader of the Turkmen people. During the meeting, the parties highlighted the positive momentum of the dialogue, which is successfully developing both at the bilateral level and within international organizations, including the UN and the OSCE.
The Head of State noted that France is one of Turkmenistan’s key European partners and that the established level of mutual trust opens up new opportunities for expanding economic ties. Particular emphasis was placed on Ashgabat’s readiness to implement promising initiatives in the fuel and energy complex, the transport and logistics sector, and industrial cooperation, involving French companies that have long operated in the local market.
The parties also reaffirmed the importance of the humanitarian and scientific spheres, where joint cultural projects, educational exchanges, and long-standing archaeological research hold traditionally strong positions.
