The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Held Meetings with the New EU and French Ambassadors and the Head of the Uzbek Diplomatic Mission

On September 9, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan hosted bilateral talks with the heads of foreign diplomatic missions, focusing on the introduction of new heads of diplomatic representations and a review of the current cooperation agenda.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov held meetings with the newly appointed European Union Ambassador to Turkmenistan, Luc Pierre Devigne, and the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic, Alena Grand.

The head of the Turkmen foreign policy agency congratulated the diplomats on the commencement of their work in Ashgabat, emphasizing the country's interest in expanding practical cooperation—both within the "Central Asia – EU" format and at the bilateral level—across political-diplomatic, trade-economic, and cultural spheres.

On the same day, a working meeting took place at the Foreign Ministry between Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Myakhri Byashimova and Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Ravshanbek Alimov. The diplomats discussed the steady development of the strategic partnership between the two good-neighborly states, paying particular attention to the coordination of efforts on international platforms—primarily the UN—as well as practical aspects of preparing for upcoming joint events aimed at deepening interstate dialogue.
