CIS Platform in Minsk to Shape Concept for New Investment Cycle in the Electric Power Sector
The development of integration processes, the strengthening of technological self-reliance, and the launch of a new investment cycle in the energy sectors of Commonwealth nations will be the central themes of the 30th Anniversary Belarusian Energy and Ecology Forum, scheduled for October 27–30, 2026, in Minsk.
A key event in the international business program will be the high-level international roundtable titled "The Formula for Energy Self-Reliance: Economy, Integration, and Development," organized on the initiative of the CIS Electric Power Council. The event is set to bring together heads of relevant ministries from CIS member states, senior officials from the EAEU, the SCO, and the Union State, as well as leaders of the region's key energy companies.
Participants in this interstate dialogue will focus primarily on devising practical mechanisms to support national energy systems amidst high global uncertainty. Discussions will center on the concept of the "CIS Electric Power Development Belt" initiative, the adaptation of management systems to new economic realities, and the use of digital financial instruments to attract investment for large-scale industry projects.
The anniversary forum’s program will also cover specialized areas that define the future of the fuel and energy complex in Commonwealth countries, including conferences on the application of artificial intelligence in the energy sector, the development of electric transport, the enhancement of environmental safety, and the training of highly qualified engineering personnel.
