Ambassador of Turkmenistan Meets with Director of Qatar’s Diplomatic Institute


On August 30, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the State of Qatar M. Seyitmammedov held a meeting with Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Horr, Director of the Diplomatic Institute of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar.
During the meeting, the Ambassador briefed his counterpart on the high-level events being organized in Turkmenistan in connection with the declaration of 2026 as the Year of “Independent, Neutral Turkmenistan — Homeland of Purposeful Winged Horses” and the 35th anniversary of the country’s State Independence. He also highlighted the key directions of Turkmenistan’s policy of permanent neutrality and the country’s significant efforts to strengthen peace around the world.
The Ambassador also briefed the Qatari side on the country’s development and important events scheduled to take place during the current year, emphasizing the significance of the upcoming meeting of the Halk Maslakhaty, scheduled for September 23. In particular, he noted that the meeting is expected to discuss important issues concerning various areas of state life, identify initiatives serving the interests of the people and the country, and determine tasks aimed at further improving the living conditions and well-being of the population.

During the meeting, it was noted that Turkmen-Qatari relations are developing across various areas. The sides also considered opportunities to further develop cooperation between the Diplomatic Institute of Qatar and the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan within the framework of existing agreements.
