The World Youth Festival Directorate has announced the results of the competitive selection process for the International Youth Festival, which will be held from September 11 to 17, 2026, in Yekaterinburg. Official invitations were received by 10,000 young leaders from 191 countries, creating a large-scale platform for the development of multipolar dialogue, international cooperation, and the exchange of experiences.

Interest in the event was demonstrated by a record-breaking competition: the organizers received over 113,000 applications. For the first time in the history of the festival movement, international demand outpaced domestic demand—the number of applications from foreign participants exceeded that from Russians by 32,000. A significant portion of the international delegation will be young people from the CIS and post-Soviet countries (over 1,000 representatives), while among non-CIS countries, the leading participants are from BRICS and Latin American countries.

A key feature of the 2026 festival will be the sector-based principle for forming delegations. The platform will bring together promising young professionals, scientists, entrepreneurs, IT developers, journalists, and government officials who have already achieved tangible results in their respective fields. The forum is expected to set new directions for joint humanitarian and technological projects among the youth community of Eurasia and the world.
