“A Nation of Winners”: Tokayev Calls for Fostering Optimism and Confidence in Kazakhstanis
Speaking at the Republican Teachers’ Conference, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev stated the necessity of shaping a strong, constructive character in the younger generation. The Head of State emphasized that the country must raise self-confident citizens rather than search for the causes of past defeats and failures.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted that it is essential to develop a culture of success, industriousness, and optimism within society. According to him, young people who look to the future with hope act as the primary engine of progress.
The President urged freeing the youth from apathy, despondency, and the image of an “eternally grieving nation.” Instead, the key objective of the education system should be the upbringing of a progressive generation capable of overcoming any challenges and firmly believing in their own strengths.
“We are a nation of winners, ready to overcome all hardships and threats, looking forward with confidence,” the Head of State concluded, designating teachers as the main pillar in building a harmonious and legal society.
