Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Qatar Meets with the Leadership of the Qatar Fund for Development
On August 23, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Qatar Myratgeldi Seyitmammedov held a meeting with Fahad Hamad Al-Sulaiti, Director General of the Qatar Fund for Development.
The main focus of the talks was strengthening bilateral cooperation and implementing joint initiatives.
The diplomat briefed the Qatari side on events dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of Turkmenistan and the designation of 2026 under the motto “Independent, Neutral Turkmenistan – Homeland of Purposeful Winged Horses.”
During the meeting, the sides noted the active dynamics of the developing partnership and discussed prospects for expanding cooperation in key areas:
• Investment and economy: discussion of joint projects with the Qatar Fund for Development;
• Energy and transport: development of infrastructure and resource cooperation;
• Trade and tourism: creating new conditions for increasing trade turnover and humanitarian exchanges.
The talks confirmed the mutual interest of Ashgabat and Doha in taking their long-term and mutually beneficial partnership to a new level.
