Turkmenistan Begins Construction of National Pavilion for EXPO 2027 in Belgrade

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a decree authorizing the Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations of Turkmenistan to design, build, and install the national pavilion for the World Specialized Exhibition EXPO 2027 in Serbia. The document instructs the ministry to carry out a full range of organizational and construction work to adequately present the country's achievements on the international stage.
EXPO 2027 will be held in Belgrade from May 15 to August 15, 2027, under the overall theme "Playing for Humanity: Sport and Music for All." Organizers of the global forum are already completing construction of the main exhibition complex and the EXPO Village in the Surčin district of Belgrade. The handover of the pavilions to participating countries is scheduled for December 1, 2026, after which interior design and exhibition work will begin.
Turkmenistan was among the first countries to officially confirm its participation in the Serbian specialized exhibition, which is expected to feature over 130 countries. The Ministry of Trade, which has successfully established national pavilions in Dubai, Osaka, and elsewhere, is traditionally responsible for organizing the Turkmen exhibit.
The national pavilion of Turkmenistan in Belgrade will showcase not only the country's rich cultural heritage and sporting achievements, but also its dynamic socioeconomic development, including large-scale urban development projects, the introduction of digital technologies, and the region's logistics potential.
