Textile and Agricultural Commodity Exports Accounted for the Weekly Trading Volume on the Turkmenistan Exchange


Last week's trading on the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan focused on textile and petrochemical products. A total of 14 major transactions were registered, shaping both the external and internal trade vectors.
The external trade volume amounted to 4.755 million US dollars. The main demand from foreign buyers—business representatives from the UAE, Turkey, Azerbaijan, and Kyrgyzstan—was for cotton and silk processing. Foreign counterparties used foreign currency to purchase cotton fabric and yarn, terry products, cotton fiber, and raw silk.
The domestic market saw high activity from local entrepreneurs, who purchased a total of 511.698 million manat worth of products. The local procurement structure included polypropylene, Portland cement, pharmaceutical and textile raw materials—licorice root extract, cotton yarn, cotton linters, and purified cotton spinning waste.
