Liquefied Gas Production in Turkmenistan Exceeded Targets by Almost 23%
Key performance indicators for the fuel and energy sector for the first seven months of 2026 were presented at a meeting of the Turkmen government on Saturday, August 1. According to the report, key enterprises in the sector not only met planned raw material production targets but also significantly increased the output of finished gas chemical and oil refining products.
Liquefied gas production demonstrated the highest growth rate in January–July, reaching 122.6% of the planned volume. Gasoline production also significantly exceeded planned targets, reaching 121.6%, and diesel fuel production reached 113.5%. Strong results were also recorded at the specialized plants of the Turkmennebit State Concern, where the raw material processing plan was fulfilled by 105.5%, and the production of lubricating oils reached 103%. Polypropylene production remains stable at 100.2%.
The mining sector is also consistently ahead of schedule. Total natural and associated gas production reached 108.1% of planned output, while Turkmennebit oil production reached 108.7%. Commenting on these figures, the head of state emphasized the need to continue expanding the production capacity of processing plants and accelerate the development of new hydrocarbon fields to expand export routes.
