The CPC: The Key to China's Success — On the Occasion of the 105th Anniversary of the CPC | Article by the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Turkmenistan
Many friends who have visited China or followed its development admire its independent foreign policy, social stability and harmony, flourishing economy, and advanced technology. However, not everyone knows that Old China was once fragmented, poor, and weak. It was subjected to constant bullying and oppression. After the founding of New China, in just a few decades the country had completed a path of industrialization that took developed countries hundreds of years to achieve, and had attained two miracles: dynamic economic growth and long-term social stability.
If one asks how China has achieved such remarkable success in just under a century, the answer is obvious: the key to its success is the wise leadership of the great, glorious, and principled Communist Party of China (CPC).
On July 1, the Communist Party of China celebrated its 105th anniversary. Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, President of the People's Republic of China, and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, delivered an important speech in which he profoundly summarized the CPC's glorious path and great historical achievements, and revealed the key reasons for its success.
For 105 years, the CPC has resolutely rejected the blind and mechanical imitation of foreign models, consistently integrating the fundamental tenets of Marxism with the specific realities of China and firmly pursuing a development path suited to national conditions. It has always remained true to its original purpose and mission—to pursue the happiness of the Chinese people and the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation—and has consistently implemented a people-centered development concept. In the name of the people, the state, the nation, and its ideals and convictions, undaunted by difficulties and sacrifices, the CPC wages a courageous struggle and inspires all the people with its steely will, continually marching from one victory to another. The CPC clearly recognizes that "to strike while the iron is strong, one must be strong," and therefore boldly pursues revolutionary self-transformation and relentlessly promotes comprehensive and strict internal Party governance.
For 105 years, the CPC has united and led the country's multi-ethnic people in tireless struggle, achieving great successes during the New Democratic Revolution, the socialist revolution and construction, reform and opening up, and socialist modernization, ushering in a new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics. Thus, the most magnificent epic in the millennia-long history of the Chinese nation was written.
The CPC not only strives for the happiness of the Chinese people but also consistently cares for the fate of all humanity. Facing changes unseen in a century and severe challenges in the international situation, the CPC is making active efforts to promote universal security and common prosperity for all countries. China always holds high the banner of peace, development, cooperation, and win-win cooperation, firmly adhering to the path of peaceful development, and unwaveringly pursuing a strategy of opening up based on mutual benefit and win-win results.
China has put forward the Belt and Road Initiative, the Global Development Initiative, the Global Security Initiative, the Global Civilization Initiative, and the Global Governance Initiative, advocating for the construction of a Community with a Shared Future for Humanity.
Currently, the CPC is uniting and leading the Chinese people on the path to comprehensively implementing the goals of the 15th Five-Year Plan, comprehensively advancing the great cause of building a strong country and national rejuvenation through Chinese modernization, and steadily expanding high-level opening-up to the outside world.
