Turkmen Ambassador Meets with Qatar’s Minister of Transport


On June 16, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the State of Qatar, M. Seyitmammedov, met with Qatar’s Minister of Transport, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Thani.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Ambassador briefed the Minister on the international events being held in Turkmenistan in connection with the declaration of 2026 as the Year of “Independent, Neutral Turkmenistan – the Homeland of Purposeful Winged Horses,” as well as the celebration of the 35th anniversary of the country’s independence.
He also highlighted Turkmenistan’s policy aimed at developing international and regional transport links, as well as the country’s efforts and programs focused on improving transport infrastructure.
Special attention was given to the resolutions adopted by the United Nations General Assembly at Turkmenistan’s initiative, as well as to international conferences and events on transport issues organized in the country.
The parties also discussed ways to enhance cooperation and exchange experience between the two countries in the fields of transport and logistics.
