The President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, has given names to a new generation of purebred Ahalteke horses. Two foals were recently born at the stables of the Presidential Administration, joining the renowned herd of horses that had been presented to the head of state over the years.

The President personally inspected the newborn foals and selected meaningful names for them. The first foal was named Akniyet, meaning “pure intentions” or “goodwill.” The second was named Borte, a historic name symbolizing strength and nobility.

During his visit, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev quoted a well-known Kazakh proverb emphasizing growth and maturity: “A foal grows into a horse, and a child grows into a leader.” The President expressed his hope that the young horses would grow strong, resilient, and swift.

Special attention was also paid to the animals’ living conditions. The Ahalteke breed requires exceptional care, a proper diet, and strict standards of environmental quality and comfort. These requirements are fully ensured at the state level.
