Talks Between the Heads of the Foreign Ministries of Turkmenistan and Iran Took Place in Ashgabat
Bilateral talks were held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan between Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov and Deputy Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mehdi Sobhani, who arrived in Ashgabat on a working visit. The diplomats discussed the most pressing issues of bilateral cooperation in key areas of mutual interest to both countries.
During the meeting, the two sides emphasized their mutual commitment to the continued progressive development of Turkmen-Iranian relations, which are traditionally based on the unwavering principles of good-neighborliness, mutual respect, equality, and high trust. The diplomats also discussed in detail specific next steps and practical mechanisms aimed at the effective implementation of previously reached interstate agreements at the highest level.
